We are so excited to be hosting the NAGAAA 2013 Gay Softball World Series, August 26-31, 2013. We are busy planning an outstanding week for all athletes, fans, and sponsors. Fields and Transportation Update
We have received many questions regarding where teams will be playing. This is a NAGAAA decision that the DC Host Committee has no control over, so please inquire with you league's NAGAAA rep for the latest information. Generally, this information is not available until your division's manager's meeting the week of the series.
As with previous GSWS, you will need to arrange your own transportation to and from the fields.
Hotel Information
We have been receiving several questions about booking rooms in the host hotels. Please note that room blocks will not be available until July 2 in order to allow all NAGAAA cities an opportunity to get rooms in the host hotels. (Keep in mind that many leagues in the midwest and east coast have not identified their GSWS teams as these leagues just started their seasons.) We will soon update the website and put a notice of Facebook with the hotel codes.
We encourage everyone to stay at the Renaissance or Marriott Washington Metro Center to get the most out of your tournament experience. Both of these hotels are close to the Metro or a short cab ride to the nightly events at some of our host bars, like the Green Lantern or Nellie's Sports Bar. There are many restaurants and other activities to do around the hotels and will be much more fun than hoteling in the 'burbs!!
