Volunteer 
We are just days away from hosting the 37th Annual Gay Softball World Series and we need the help and support of the DC community to volunteer. Throughout the week more than 400 volunteers are needed to host what is the largest the world’s largest annual GLBT sporting event that brings together more than 4,000 participants and fans from 43 leagues in the US and Canada. We want to make DC proud – and you can help. Volunteer shift times are now open and we hope you can contribute some of your time. Below is an overview of our DC Series 2013 volunteer needs:
Field Volunteers (4 hour shifts):
These volunteers help us step up fields in the morning prior to games start, supply water and ice to the fields, assist athletes in need of medical assistance, and help us keep the fields clean.

Tuesday, August 26 through Saturday, August 30 Approximately 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. each day.

Registration Volunteers (4 hour shifts):
Volunteers will check-in players by ensuring their paperwork is complete and proper identification is provided. In this capacity, volunteers will also need to be informed to answer questions about DC Series 2013.

Weeknight Events Volunteers:
The volunteer roles vary for our three events - Opening Ceremony, Charity Drag Show, and Closing Ceremony. In general, volunteers help us with set-up/take-down, selling/collecting tickets and providing directions to our out of town guests.

- Saturday, August 30 - 6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. - Renaissance Hotel Courtyard
